Nidec SYS GmbH Wins Best Award 2025 at Blechexpo for Innovative Inline Vision & Weld System
Stuttgart, October 2025 – Nidec SYS GmbH is proud to announce that it has been awarded the prestigious Best Award 2025 at this year’s Blechexpo, the leading international trade fair for sheet metal working and joining technology. The company received the award for its groundbreaking Inline Vision & Weld System with Marking-on-the-Fly (IV&WS Marking).
This fully automated solution integrates inspection, cutting, welding, and labeling of punched parts into a single, compact system—setting a new benchmark for inline quality assurance. The IV&WS Marking system combines Kistler’s advanced optical inspection and laser marking technologies with Nidec SYS’s precision wobble laser welding technology, ensuring seamless production even when defective parts are detected.
Seamless integration for uninterrupted production
The IV&WS 512 system automatically identifies and removes NOK (non-conforming) parts, then uses laser welding technology to rejoin the punched strip without gaps. This eliminates manual intervention, reduces downtime, and protects surrounding OK parts. The result is a continuous reel of verified, traceable components ready for downstream processing.
High-speed traceability with laser marking
A key feature of the latest system version is the Marking-on-the-Fly (MoF) module, capable of labeling up to 1,600 parts per minute with QR codes or barcodes. This ensures full traceability—critical for sectors such as automotive and medical technology—and provides real-time quality data for process optimization.
A big thank you goes to the top-class expert jury, who examined and evaluated all submissions with professional competence and care. Their assessment highlighted the innovative strength, technical excellence, and team performance demonstrated by all nominees.
Ongoing innovation and future focus
Nidec SYS GmbH invests heavily in research and development, with a dedicated R&D team of 13 specialists continuously working to advance precision, automation, and innovation in sheet metal processing. Looking ahead, the company is expanding its R&D activities to include stamped grid applications, aiming to further broaden the IV&WS product portfolio and open up new possibilities for inline quality assurance and smart manufacturing.
Congratulations to all winners and nominees! Their ideas, developments, and courage to break new ground impressively demonstrate the innovative strength of the sheet metal industry.
