
Eduardo Motohashi Named President at Nidec Press & Automation
MINSTER, Ohio — David Winch, CEO and Vice Chairman of Nidec Press & Automation (NP&A), a global leader in metal forming equipment, service and integrated manufacturing technologies, announced the promotion of Eduardo Motohashi to President, effective June 1, 2026. Motohashi will lead the group’s global engineering, finance, sales, service and operations across its 17 facilities worldwide.
Motohashi brings more than a decade of leadership experience with Nidec Corp., most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Nidec Drive Technology Corp. With a proven track record across global operations, engineering and integration, he has played a key role in supporting NP&A’s growth strategy, including acquisitions and the continued expansion of its turnkey metal forming equipment and advanced automation capabilities.
His connection to NP&A includes serving on the Nidec Minster Board of Directors since 2015 and holding leadership roles at the Minster facility from 2016 to 2021. During that time, he gained a deep understanding of the group’s product portfolio and developed strong relationships across the organization.
“Eduardo brings a balanced combination of global perspective, operational discipline and a deep technical understanding of our products, industry and global business,” Winch said. “His leadership will help ensure continuity while strengthening our focus on delivering innovative, high-performance systems that help customers improve productivity, quality and overall manufacturing efficiency.”
In his new role, Motohashi will focus on advancing NP&A’s integrated press and automation offerings, driving operational excellence and expanding the company’s ability to deliver complete, customer-centric manufacturing solutions.

Motohashi holds an engineering degree from the University of São Paulo and will be based at the group’s headquarters in Minster, Ohio.
